Since launch in 2004, our strategy has been to invest in the highest specification equipment and technology available to offer total control and visibility over products in our care.

At the core of Igloo’s operations are high quality well trained staff, high specification Mercedes fleet, and combined temperature monitoring and reporting solutions backing one and other up constantly. Key to this is our use of Masternaut vehicle tracking systems, providing a wide range of driver & vehicle level management information, far in excess of just basic pinpoint location and vehicle temperature.

In 2008 Igloo entered into a partnership arrangement with DHL and are trialing new innovative technologies that are genuinely glimpses in to the future of logistics. The most exciting development to date being the trial of the DHL Smartsensor, a slimline RFID tag that travels with products at case level recording and tracing their temperature throughout transit, uploading this data at RFID control points through the supply chain without the need to open the package, and alerting monitors to any deviation from specification.
