Our Fleet

Between two operating distribution centers, Igloo runs a fleet in excess of 50 vehicles ranging in size from refrigerated Smart cars to refrigerated 18 ton HGV’s.

Igloo vehicles offer dual temperature compartments operating temperature ranges between +25oC and -25oC.

Much temperature controlled transport requires either a “chill” range of +2oC to +5oC, or a “frozen” range of -18oC to -25oC. Igloo offers specific bespoke temperatures on any vehicle subject to customers’ requirements.

All Igloo vehicles are built to the highest industry standards and come equipped with temperature monitors and in-cab printers, as well as remote location and temperature tracing through Masternaut’s satellite telemetry system.

Igloo’s sophisticated in-built telemetry systems allow vehicles to automatically advise customers or fleet managers in advance of arrival at any destination and also on leaving a particular location, this can be done through email or SMS and can be monitored live through a secure section of our website.

Igloos fleet is restricted to speeds between 56mph and 65mph, in part for legislative requirements and in part for fuel efficiency and environmental rationale. Conscious of our businesses carbon emissions, the whole Igloo fleet was restricted in 2008 to minimize inefficient high speed driving of our vans.
