Igloo 2011 Review

Last year saw some of the most difficult trading conditions for a decade in the UK.  The worldwide recession, coupled with the highest inflation rate for 5 years and the rising cost of fuel meant that conditions were tough for all companies within the transport sectors.

Igloo opens up Ireland!

We are pleased to announce the launch of our new Ireland route which will run weekly to Dublin and Belfast. This is to strengthen our current coverage across the British Isles. The service started last week and has already been a great success with both existing and new customers. This is a fully trialled route which allows us to extend our MHRA accredited service further afield.

Increased frozen storage capacity

Our frozen storage capacity has now been increased by 30% as part of our ongoing strategic review of warehouse operations and comes on top of the 150% increase in ambient storage capacity completed earlier in the year.

This increased capacity helps to improve the turnaround times of orders due to the increased efficiency of warehouse stock management and order picking thus providing a direct benefit to our customers.

Engaging in web chat

In an ongoing strive to enhance our service offering to customers and to make it even easier for you to contact us we have introduced live web chat on both our food and pharmaceutical logistics websites.

Live web chat is available throughout the day during the week and out of hours you can simply leave us a message for immediate attention on the next working day.

Igloo increases ambient storage capacity by 150%

We have responded to customers’ demands for storage capacity by further investment in our warehousing facilities, including the extension of our storage racking for ambient products at our Watford depot.
