NEW Depot Open - Leeds
After careful planning, Igloo Leeds has now relocated from Sherburn-In-Elmet to more suitable premises in Morley, opening for business on April 1st with a totally seamless transition for all our customers.
Matthew Wilkinson, Leeds Depot Manager explains "The move puts Igloo Leeds much closer to its customer base, Leeds centre and also the North West. We calculate that moving to the new site will deliver significant operating efficiencies and also reduces Igloo's carbon emissions through our lower diesel consumption alone".
The new site has much improved security including gated access with Ram Raid posts, key code door entry, digital remotely monitored camera systems and Dual Com monitored alarm system.
Redundant cold store space has been reduced by 50% as has the cost of chilling the excess capacity. The Leeds team are now running at 99.9% of normal operations with only minor administrative changes outstanding.
The site boasts new & improved facilities to hold ambient, chilled & frozen goods using two new high specification cold rooms and a high bay racked ambient warehouse.
Igloo depots are located at sites in Watford, Leeds and Glasgow boasting a wide range of vehicles supporting a temperature controlled distribution network across the UK, Ireland and into Europe.
